First 5K Race

On Father's Day weekend, we completed our first 5K race as a family. Jen, Mike and Anastassia came to TN to race with us. It was actually Mike's idea, so Scott and I decided to see if we could do it. Scott completed the race (3.1 miles) in under 30 minutes. Not bad for someone who never runs! The girls and I made it in 37 minutes. Not bad for pushing 50 pounds. We did good for the first two miles, but that last mile was a bit rough. We had fun and the girls were able to bond with their cousin.
