Hello Spring???
I'm even afraid to say it, but I think we may be coming out of winter or atleast the worst of it. It has been 40 and sunny the past few days. Yeah for Northern New York. The kids are at the playground with daddy and I am sure they are loving it. They have been begging to go to the playground, but up until a few weeks ago, you could barely see the playground.
On March 2, 2011, our easy going, fun-loving, handsome boy turned 2. Yikes, already!!! Where did the last two years go? Lets see, we moved from TN when he was 2 months old, he had emergency surgery at 6 months old, and for most of the last year of his life, we have and still are renovating a house. Well, I guess that answers my question. I feel that time is going so much faster with Jack then it did with the girls. Is that because I was a first time mom trying to find my way in the mothering world, or because there was two? Whatever the reason, I want time to SLOW down. Well, maybe for Jack, but not for the girls. I am counting down the months until they start kindergarten. I will not be that mother crying as I drop them for that first day. I will be doing cartwheels down the street. Am I a bad mother for wanting this?? I have questioned that for quite awhile. I don't think I am a bad mother, but a mother to twins who needs a break from two very strong willed girls who are so ready to be in school. I love them dearly and so enjoy all the time we have had together, but for their sake and mine, the count down has begun.

Darn Computer
Well, after only 4 years, our computers hard drive crashed. We hope to have it recovered and replaced soon. Until then, I can not post any pictures and we have quite a few great pictures lately. We are enjoying mounds and mounds of snow. We have been having a blast playing out in it. A little update on our little ones....Jack is talking in 2 & 3 word sentences, Riley has amazed us and taught herself how to whistle and Jocelyn has started to recognize words in her reading books and is starting to sound out words.

Flashback Friday
A little over 4 years ago, Scott and I became parents for the first time. Not to one little girl, but two little girls. It was the happiest and scariest moment of my life. Riley, (picture 1) was born weighing 5lbs and doing great. Jocelyn on the other hand was not doing so well. I thought that something was not right when the doctor yelled for everyone to shut up and give him and update on baby "b". Scott kept telling me everything was fine. He already new I had anxiety and did not want to make it worse. Jocelyn was taken to NICU and stayed there for the next 10 days. The first 24 hours was very scary (as you can see from the 2nd picture), but our little fighter came through with flying colors. She was breathing on her own by the next day and within a few days moved to a less critical unit.

Riley, Jocelyn and Jack

A New Year's Toast

The girls are growing up so fast. They will officially start kindergarten in 8 months, but who's counting. They absolutely love pre-k and are learning so much. They have three wonderful teachers who go above and beyond, but what teacher doesn't. Riley is taking tap and ballet and Jocelyn is taking an art class. Riley is the little princess and Jocelyn is showing signs of being our tomboy. I hope, because she seems to be my only hope for my daughter to follow in my footsteps playing soccer. Only time will tell. I can also tell the girls are really growing up because everyday life is getting easier. They are playing more by themselves and are getting along a lot better.
Jack, is, well, the perfect child. He is so laid back and easy going. He LOVES trains and cars. His vocabulary amazes us everyday. He loves to emulate his sisters and pretty much can do a lot of what he sees them doing.
The kids and I keep very busy during the week with many play dates. Yes, the weather was dreadfully cold last week, but we were at a balmy 35 today.
Our weekends are still and probably will be for a loooong time, all consumed by the projects around this house. We absolutely love our new house and the kids love all the space. Yesterday, I searched through the pictures on the computer to see if I could find before and after pictures for everyone, and I had no luck. The pictures are not in a folder for just our house, so I was not taking on the task of looking through multiple folders until I could find some. I apologize and I would like to show everyone our progress, but it will have to wait.
